Ok let me recap my el pollo loco ventures to make it easier to understand my current situation. Last week on monday morning I went in person(I couldn't apply online at this location) to ask for an application, the employees said they didn't have any and I should come in tomorrow since they would have more printed out. Well I went the next day and the manager was the one who opened the door for me(the store was about to open) and I asked for an application.
He asked me what position I was looking for and what shifts and I said cashier and morning to evenings. My memory gets hazy on the exact words but he said he was taking a break from hiring that week because of thanksgiving and after that he would resume and that I should come in monday(today) or tuesday of next week and ask for him.
So I spent the thanksgiving break just being nervous and then came today. I went 15 mins after it opened and asked for him like said to. Unfortunately he wasn't there but the employees did say he would be there early tomorrow(tuesday dec 1st). So I just went in one day for an application and I'm about to go in for a 4th time tomorrow and hopefully it leads to an on the spot interview.
I mean it's a good sign when he said to ask for him right? but I'm not going to give up that easily, even if I have to go each day this week to el pollo loco just to speak to the general manager, I'll do it. Oh today I got a call for an interview at ross at hill valley mall (aka puente hills mall) tomorrow at 1:30 pm. For this interview I will take the bus and ask my dad for 20 cents since I only have money in my checking and paypal accounts and buses don't take debit or credit cards. Yes I came up that short for fare.
I will go all out on my schedule at el pollo loco, I will say I'm free from 8am to closing(10:30pm) and buses don't run at that time so I will walk the almost 2 miles home in the cold and dark because that's how bad I want a job
