I actually remember an NBA without kobe but he's been in the league so long it's hard to remember. To give you an idea, if magic johnson played one more season, he would have been team mates with a rookie kobe. Also kobe's current coach played with him when mr bryant was a rookie. I am a diehard lakers fan since I was born and I will continue to be no matter how bad the lakers get. Yes I am not a clippers bandwagon fan like a lot of people.
I wanted to go to the lakers parade in 2002 but I was in school at that time so I couldn't go. I did get to go to the past 2 parades and I was even in the coliseum at the 2009 one so yes I have seen kobe in person. I was hoping he would win 1 more title but things weren't meant to be and he is still a legend. I do have a kobe jersey and 4 lakers shirts from their championships and a kobe bobblehead.
I really kobe would play for 2 or 3 more seasons so he could retire after tim duncan and be the last 90's player active in the nba(only paul pierce,kg,dirk, manu and vince carter are still active from the 90's) but he has nothing left to prove. Laker games just won't be the same without kobe and it seems like the past 15 years have gone by way too fast
