Why the DX version aka the color enhanced version that came out later instead of the original black and white version? I just have much more nostalgia with the gameboy color re release especially compared to the original
Link's awkaening is the sequel to the legend of zelda: a link to the past(super nintendo) and it was released in the early 90's for the game boy(yes the big brick one). At the time of it's release it was praised for being an actual non watered down zelda game that is just as good as it's console brothers
The story is that link is on a ship that wrecks thanks to a sudden storm, he wakes up on a mysterious island and is given to the goal to wake the wind fish as the way to escape the island. You do this by beating 8 bosses to aquire 8 musical instruments that wake the sleeping fish
It's like octo transformers or a band actually. The DX has gorgeous color graphics that still hold up today and a photographer that takes your picture at different events. You can see them in a photo album or print them out with a gameboy printer
Oh and there's an extra optional color dungeon (you need a gameboy color or advance to play it). Even though this post is about the DX version, the original black and white version is still a great game
