Retro fridays and in too deep by sum 41

This came out around the same time as fatlip(as a single) and is the other well known song from sum 41. So I am going to nostalgia over both of them around the same time. In too deep is the other hit single from the album all killer no filler. It came out in the early 2000's and was a product of it's time and could only have come out in the early 00's. Just watch the music video for example

I'm not sure if it was an early 00's thing or a pop punk thing but it was cool for bands to have music videos of them playing somewhere that isn't a stage and be surrounded by jumping fans. The video is mostly the band going to a big pool and having a diving contest with a swim team(it was filmed close to the twin pines mall) and other shots are of them playing in an empty pool while fans jump and go crazy

The song is featured on commercials and tv shows, most notably on malcom in the middle when reese steals the driver's ed car and drives through the driver's ed course or I think it was the dmv driver's license test course. It will probably be considered a classic in a few years or so

I didn't like it when it came out and thought it was adults trying to be edgy to impress teens and it still feels the same. However it was everywhere and it makes me nostalgia for the early 00's

Here's the link to the music video
