By which I mean midnight club 3 remix and midnight club LA remix since I haven't played the normal unmixed versions. The game start off easy enough to get your guard down but if you keep winning it gradually gets harder in a passive agressive "haha" type of way.
How? the cpu drives perfectly and never crashes, their car or truck is always much faster then yours even if you have the same model. They bend the space time continuum and have nano second reflexes when side traffic goes by. Oh speaking of traffic, it always shows up at intersections when your passing through.
It will also use cars that are a class above yours(that have yet to be unlocked) to make you feel like a tortoise. As a last resort there will be much more cops with road blocks that your rivals will somehow teleport through as if they were the invisible man.
Both games are good but if not for the cheapish AI they would be perfect. The solution to this maddening difficulty is to take a break and not play for a few days. Suddenly that one race that is giving you so much problems will magically be easier
